In the chemical engineering department, full time faculty members are teaching and carrying research activities in different fields of chemical engineering including transport phenomena, catalytic systems, hydrogen production and purification, biodiesel production, adsorption, process design, reaction engineering, polymer based nano-composites, synthesis and application of Nano-Materials, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), microfluidic device, Drug delivery, nano-fluids, Ladle and Tundish design, in the well-equipped laboratories available in the department. Publishing of high quality articles, as well as running several industrial project such as designing industrial mixers, finding defects of industrial devices using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and solving the problems and pollutant removal and wastewater treatment have been the honors of the chemical engineering department in recent years.
It should be noted that this department is going to establish two new fields including separation processes as well as petroleum engineering, and will hopefully admit graduate students in next years.
